Position Summary:
The Principal Consultant for NCA's Virtualization Practice will possess extensive hands-on technical expertise in Virtualization at the Server and Desktop level with end-to-end planning and management experience across all applications, infrastructures and parallel activities. Ideal candidates will possess Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in virtualization technologies and oversee the definition and development of virtualization options, strategy, processes and necessary activities to ensure a successful virtualization initiative.
In addition to a deep technical background in virtualization, ideal candidates will have extensive professional services experience within IT infrastructure services, as well as previous accountability at the senior technical director-level or above.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accurately evaluate customers' strategic business issues, identify requirements, create business case justifications, and propose appropriate enterprise solutions; Analyze current and future virtualization needs for IT/Operations environments
Develop customized solutions that address specific needs, and the successful management and/or delivery of engagements
Develop in-depth understanding of a client's business requirements, along with client's current technical environment; accurately assess and make recommendations
Develop, promote and follow engagement methodologies
Document current state, future state and proposed roadmap between both states
Recommend strategy and document virtualization best practices, methodologies, and cost models; also required is ability to drive creation/support creation of tools, templates and other tools to support best practices

Minimum Requirements:
Citrix Presentation Server / XenApp, CAG, Terminal Services
VDI Connection Brokers such as VMWARE View, Citrix XenDesktop, Quest vWorkspace
Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Virtual Server and Hyper-V
Windows Server Infrastructure, AD, DNS, DHCP,IIS, and Group Policy
Strong Understanding of LAN, WAN, and remote access technologies
Systems management platforms such as SCCM, Altiris, Radia
Scripting using Visual Basic, Powershell, Javascript, Perl or equivalent
Excellent oral and written communication skills (documentation, client presentations, etc)
Superb interpersonal communication and the ability to participate in a team/project with several other team members
Familiarity with ITIL; certification preferred
Prior experience developing tools, methodologies and processes for consistent service development
Progressive experience leading and managing large client engagements
Proven successful track record assisting clients with multi-million dollar virtualization management practices
BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Engineering; MBA preferred
MCSE (2000 or 2003)
VMware experience is required, with strong preference toward VMware Certified Professionals (VCP) or heavy experience with ESX 2.5 or 3.0.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of experience leading workshops and solution sessions, and delivering complex professional services engagements with a focus on Virtualization services and technologies
